Grants

The Corangamite CMA funds individuals, landholders, community groups and volunteer environment organisations to implement a range of projects.

These projects include: revegetation, weed control, willow removal, stock exclusion fencing, off-stream watering, sustainable agriculture, biodiversity protection, natural disaster recovery, renewable energy, waterway restoration, natural resource management, community education and community events.

The Community Environment Grants Program

The Community Environment Grants Program is an allocation of $1M from the Wild Otways Initiative, and will support local governments, Traditional Owners and volunteer groups to deliver projects that demonstrate environmental outcomes through the delivery of revegetation and supporting activities, weed and pest animal control, fencing and access track construction or improvement works that protect and manage environmental values.

Round Two Announced
Successful applicants round two of the Community Environment Grants Program have now been rewarded.

The Victorian Landcare Grants

The Victorian Government is providing funding to support Landcare and environmental volunteer groups and networks undertaking on-ground works, education, and capacity building projects to protect and restore our land and natural environment. In 2023 a total of $3.95 million is available for the Victorian Landcare Grants program across Victoria.

The objectives of the Victorian Landcare Grants are:

  • To fund projects that address local, regional, and state land and environment priorities through delivery of:
    • On-ground works
    • Capacity building activities
    • Community education and engagement
  • To sustain Landcare and other environmental volunteer groups and networks by providing support grants, particularly for groups whose continuing existence will benefit from this support.

To be eligible, applicants must be:

  • A Victorian Landcare or environmental volunteer group / network that is community-based and have a focus on on-ground land and natural environment improvement work. This includes Landcare groups and networks, Friends of groups, Conservation Management Networks, Coastcare groups and Aboriginal groups and organisations working on Country.

Applications are open until Tuesday 16 May 2023.
