Lower Barwon River Flooding

The Corangamite CMA has received reports of increased flooding on private property upstream of the lower Barwon barrage. The Greater Geelong Planning Scheme Local Provision identifies these areas as Farming Zone with a Floodway Overlay. The properties west of the river are also subject to Environmental Significance Overlays.

Landholders have contacted Corangamite CMA and City of Greater Geelong to raise their concerns about the flooding.
