Doug from Balintore shares his Plains Tender story on film

May 12, 2017

Doug Lang from Balintore recently shared his incredible personal experience of rejuvenating his family's property whilst working with the Corangamite CMA on a Plains Tender Project.

Doug has experienced incredible personal growth through the project and generously shared his story in this short film. Doug says "The Plains Tender helped to encourage me to rejuvenate and look after my property".

Doug’s story is also the subject of an upcoming episode of ABC’s Landline to be screened during National Mental Health Week in October 2017.

Plains Tender is a conservation incentive program funded through the Australian Government's National Landcare Program and coordinated by the Corangamite CMA. The program supports private land managers to undertake works to conserve and protect indigenous vegetation across the Victorian Volcanic Plains.

More films capturing and demonstrating participants attitudinal and landscape change during their involvement in the Plains Tender Program can be found on the Corangamite CMA's YouTube channel.
