SUPPORTING LANDCARE VOLUNTEERS ACROSS VICTORIA

Congratulations to the recipients of the 2022 Victorian Landcare Grants in the Corangamite region.

Environmental volunteer groups and networks are sharing in $3.22 million in funding for projects and work to protect Victoria’s natural environment. The grants will fund 217 on-ground and educational projects focused on biodiversity protection and provide additional financial support to more than 281 environmental volunteer groups.

These grants will support Landcare and environmental volunteering groups and networks for on-ground works, education and capacity building projects that protect and restore our land and natural environment.

The Corangamite region received 18 project grants and 38 support grants making the total of funding $286,425.

These grants are part of the Victorian Government’s long-term plan to protect the environment, which has invested nearly $560 million in protecting the state’s biodiversity and the environment since 2014.
