Event Application Form

Completing this application is the first step to applying for a permit to stage an event on Corangamite CMA managed land from Queens Park Bridge to Breakwater (Gundog Lane) e.g. The Rowing Mile, Marnock Reserve, Richardson Reserve, Frederick Morton Reserve, pathways, park, or road.

Once the application has been submitted, your application will be assessed as to what documents or plans may be applicable to your event to enable an event permit to be issued.

If your event requires the use of City of Greater Geelong managed land for example Zillah Crawcour Park, Fyans Park, Belmont Common North, South Bank Triangle Site, Barwon Valley Park, Balyang Sanctuary, or the John Landy Athletics Field. Refer to the City of Greater Geelong Event Planning Guide and apply for permission to stage a public event.

Please allow a minimum of 6 weeks for your event application form to be processed.

NOTE: Applying for an event does not give the Event Organiser immediate approval to market or advertise the event.

SECTION 4: PROPOSED ENTERTAINMENT

Note: CCMA are not supportive of balloons at events, this includes mass balloon releases. Bubbles or similar are more likely to be supported.

SECTION 5: RISK MANAGEMENT

As part of your event permit application you will be required to submit the following documentation. The combined size of the 4 files needs to be less than 40Mb.

Provide a site map showing the proposed land-based event layout. Hand drawn and incomplete maps will not be considered.

Where applicable show:

  • The area of the event
  • Show the placement of first aid points/area
  • Emergency access/egress routes
  • Placement of all existing and
  • temporary equipment and
  • infrastructure
  • Placement of marquees, stages, seating, inflatables, temporary fencing and banners, etc
  • Location of event signage
  • All existing portable toilets proposed
  • Which shared pathway(s) will be disrupted
  • Event Parking
  • Placement of power to be used
