Looking for activities to keep the kids busy these school holidays? Come and bugout beside the Barwon!
The Corangamite Catchment Management Authority (CMA) is running a series of workshops where kids can not only learn about the Barwon River, but also about the water bugs that call the river home.
Your little one can be a Citizen Scientist for the morning, helping to catch, monitor and identify the creepy crawlies they find and have a lot of fun while doing it!
Wednesday 19th April
10 – 11.30am
Picnic area beside Barwon River (West Branch),
Kaanglang Rd, Forrest

The Barwon River rises in the Otway Ranges and flows close to the townships of Forrest, Birregurra, Winchelsea and Inverleigh, before flowing through to Geelong. Waterbugs provide a great indication of overall waterway health.
Rain, hail or shine the event will take place, so make sure to wear weather appropriate footwear and bring your gumboots if you have them.
This event is free, but spaces are limited. Visit https://ccma.vic.gov.au/event/barwon-waterbug-discovery/ to register today!
