Celebrate National Water Week!
This National Water Week, the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority invites all citizen scientists to help map the habitats of our threatened frogs and elusive platypus.
Frogs
Help protect Victoria’s frogs by recording their calls and contributing to vital conservation research. October is Frog Month Victoria - affectionately known as 'Frogtober'. While the focus is the Growling Grass Frog, recordings of any frog call using the Frog Census App are welcome! The Frog Census provides researchers and Catchment Management Authorities with faster access to valuable data, enabling timely environmental actions.

Platypus
Even though the platypus is such an iconic Aussie animal, we don’t really know much about them— especially their numbers and where they all live. If we can gain a better understanding of their distribution, we can do more to help protect them. That’s where Citizen Scientists come in and can really make a difference!
Join fellow early birds for an hour of platypus spotting and frog call recording 7am on October 26!
