COMMUNITY INVITED TO LEARN ABOUT THE UPPER BARWON RIVER

Corangamite CMA would like to invite the local community to learn more about the health of the Upper Barwon River at an upcoming FREE community event in Forrest.

The event, What’s Going On With Our River?, will be held on Saturday, 13 June 2026 from 9.30am to 1.30pm, starting at the Forrest Community Hub , 47-49 Grant St, Forrest. 

Hosted in collaboration with Barwon Water, the Upper Barwon Landcare Network, and the Gerangamete Forest Landcare Group, the day offers a valuable opportunity for community members to hear from experts about the current condition of the river, ongoing restoration efforts, and future priorities.

Attendees are invited to bring their questions and take part in discussions about how the river can be better supported into the future. The event will also include an outdoor component, giving participants the chance to explore the river environment firsthand.

Registrations are now open, with locals encouraged to secure their place and be part of the conversation about the future of the Upper Barwon River.
