Working with Traditional Owners on the cultural significance of floodplains

May 23, 2017

The Corangamite CMA are currently developing the Regional Floodplain Management Strategy for the Corangamite region. Consultation with all sectors of the community on the strategy is an important part of the development process.

Jessie and Darren from the Corangamite CMA Floodplain Team recently met with Traditional Owners from the Kuuyang Maar Aboriginal Corporation to discuss floodplain values associated with the Barongarook Creek in Colac.
