The Corangamite Catchment Management Authority (CCMA) are funding the ‘Bellarine Master TreeGrower Course’, Bellarine Landcare is delivering in partnership with Otway Agroforestry Network.
The Bellarine Master TreeGrower Course is an 8-day, field based, course for landholders interested in planting and managing trees for conservation and profit. The course is packed with information from experts like Rowan Reid on the benefits of growing trees for sustainable profit enterprises, shelter, and biodiversity.
The first introductory session is on Friday 26th March at McGlashans Estate, 225 Swan Bay Rd, Wallington. The Master TreeGrower Course is an award-winning program developed by Rowan Reid and has been delivered successfully right across Australia and around the world.
The Bellarine Master TreeGrower Course does not promote particular species, products or management options. It simply encourages farmers, and landholders to aspire to be ‘master tree growers’ in their own right.
Corangamite CMA’s Chelsey Agg said it is great to partner with Bellarine Landcare and Otway Agroforestry Network to deliver this course to assist farmers with an opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge around the benefits of growing more trees on your property.
“The Bellarine Master TreeGrower Course will be able to provide skills, support networks, practical knowledge and confidence to support landholders and farmers in making these important decisions on farm,” Chelsey said.
