John Riddiford to lead Corangamite Catchment Management Authority

The Corangamite Catchment Management Authority (CMA) is pleased to announce the appointment of John Riddiford as Chief Executive Officer.

Corangamite CMA Chair Alice Knight believes the appointment will be a positive one for the region.

“John has a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and delivering positive outcomes for the community. Over the past few months John has filled the Interim CEO position, where his relationship building and investment planning skills have been evident. We are excited for John to be leading us through our next phase as we deliver on our state and federal government funded projects and develop our Regional Catchment Strategy”, Alice said.

John comes to the role from the position of Executive Officer at Vic Catchments, which is the peak body representing Catchment Management Authorities in Victoria. John also spent 14 years as CEO of North East CMA, and holds senior roles with the International Water Association and the Australian Water Partnership, a joint venture between Australian Aid and water research bodies.

“I initially came to Corangamite CMA in an interim capacity but having spent more time in the region working with partners and the community I could see an exciting future. I am confident I can provide the strategic leadership required to help us achieve positive results”, John said.

“My wife Judy and I agreed the timing was right to return to the country and we are looking forward to becoming members of the community where we are working”, John said.
