Senior Project Officer - Barwon River Parklands (Colac / Geelong)

Corangamite Catchment Management Authority is offering a leadership role within the Strategy and Planning Group based in Colac and/or Geelong. The Senior Project Officer provides a leadership opportunity to support the development of the Barwon Parklands Strategy and contribute to a culture of innovation and excellence.

The position is Part Time (equivalent to 3 days per week) through until the end of the current financial year but with an eye to extending this position to full-time ongoing. Salary range is $84,093 to $86,895 pro-rata per annum (negotiable based on experience) plus superannuation.

This rewarding position project manages the review of the current Barwon Parklands Strategy with a key focus on the contract management of a business plan to fund the development of a Masterplan. The Barwon Parklands Strategy has a vision of creating a continuous network of natural, open spaces with access for various land and water based recreation and use. It is a joint project across various organisations in the Greater Geelong area.

This role provides high level technical and strategic advice and helps shape the future of the organisation.

A strategic and analytical thinker, you will have a flexible and adaptable approach, possess the ability to build strong relationships and partnerships, and to manage as well as work as part of a team. You will help to contribute to a high quality organisational culture and model the values of the Corangamite CMA and the Victorian Public Service. 

This role requires experience working with diverse organisations and communities in natural resource management or planning and a relevant tertiary qualification. Demonstrated experience in project planning and management as well as contract management within relevant sectors is highly desirable. Furthermore, understanding of business case development or Master Planning would be desirable.

Project Officer, Land & Catchment Health (Colac)

Full Time Fixed Term Contract (Maternity) to August 2020 – 38 hours per week
Salary range: $61,910 to $71,858 per annum (negotiable based on experience) plus superannuation


A rewarding opportunity for a Project Officer, Land & catchment Health is being offered to manage land and catchment health projects related to the Victorian Volcanic Plains, Our Catchments Our Communities, and Biodiversity Response planning.

This position reports to the Senior Project Officer, Biodiversity and will be responsible for the integrated delivery of specific land health and catchment projects, programs and services across the catchment.

You will possess excellent interpersonal, engagement, communication and customer service capabilities, with the ability to contribute to building a positive, high performing organisation. You will have a flexible and adaptable approach, possess the ability to build strong professional relationships and partnerships, and to work as part of a team. You will help to lead a high performing organisational culture and model the values of the Corangamite CMA and the Victorian Public Service.

This role requires experience in working with communities in natural resource management, environmental management, agriculture or community development and a relevant tertiary qualification, or substantial relevant work experience.

Salary range: $85,784 to $95,803 per annum (negotiable based on experience) plus superannuation
